Modesto City Schools in Modesto, CA, has announced their 2024 Stanislaus County Office of Education Teacher of the Year Nominees during National Teacher Appreciation Week. The seven nominees are Kelly Armstrong from Martone Elementary School, Nancy Barajas from Fairview Elementary School, Natalie Galindo from Sonoma Elementary School, Seth Bledsoe from Beard Elementary School, Ulices Chavez from La Loma Junior High School, Ginger Sharp from Downey High School, and Christina Welch from Davis High School. Ms. Armstrong and Ms. Barajas are the top two finalists from Modesto City Schools, with Ms. Armstrong in the TK-3 Elementary bracket and Ms. Barajas in the 4-6 Elementary bracket. They will be competing for the Teacher of the Year title at the upcoming 2024 Teacher of the Year Luncheon hosted by Stanislaus County Office of Education and Modesto Rotary.
